Lost-Tapes effect is based on tape emulation, but do not claim to model any hardware model.
Lost-tapes modify with character your sound with state of the art algorithms. Plugins can be used mainly on instruments (like guitar, vocals or keyboards.), but also on stem track like drum-kit or stacked chord track.

This would possibly be my fave tape sim, as I can hear that authenticity of the tape effect, if only the artifacts could be zeroed if need be. Strangely, when rendering mixes which has an instance or instances of this involved, the wow/fluttering gets magnified and takes over the entire mix, even in clean mode with artifacts dialed all the way back. The "stereo" mode sounds silly, like the built-in chorus you'd find on a Dollar General store-brand kid's toy keyboard. Fix this, and this would become a gem.

Very good, I highly recommend this plugin ... and thank you very much for the Linux version ;)
I cant get it to show up in the fl studio plugin list. Maybe it's not compatible with fl?

Good tape emulation, I like the sound of it

A great lofi tape plugin! I've been using this in conjunction with the other free tape plugins like the Caelum Audio Tape Cassette 2, Chow Tape, and Softube Dirty Tape (which was free a few months ago.) The only downfall of this one is that it has a whistling sound when I enable the stereo button (which in my case seems to be doesn't do anything aside to adding a whistling sound) other than that it can be a somehow of a useful plugin

It doesn't do anything ...at all...PLUS the GUI is hot trash. wish I never downloaded it.
Does your DAW support VST3 or AU plugins?
You're doing it wrong, works on my machine.

Love it! Definitely has it's own vibe compared to other free lo-fi plug-ins like Caelum Audio Tape Cassette 2, Chow DSP ChowTape and iZotope Vinyl (last one is not supposed to sound like tape, but still). The saturation is really nice and the stereo effect you get from it is great for mono tracks. It's more lively and not so sterile like many regular stereoizer effects can be. The only negative thing I have to say about it is that there is some harsh whistling resonances at 11-12kHz, but they are only audible when you have it set to New mode. In the other mode it's cut by the low-pass filter so you can't hear it. In Broken mode you get resonant frequencies at about 2k, 8k and 14k, but that mode is supposed to sound "broken" so it's to be expected. All-in-all, it's a lovely and great sounding plug-in that I'll be definitely using from time to time.
What for is the grey stripe middle right, if one clicks on this?
This is a VST3-plugin. With this new standard it is very easy to scale the GUI of a plugin. A click on the gray stripe makes the GUI bigger or smaller, but a last it depends on your DAW. In my DAW (Traktion Waveform 11) it works fine.
It resizes the GUI
Thank You

Sehr schön: no exe! Einfach direkt VST3. GUI nicht so gut zu lesen und nicht so gut zu bedienen, könnte simpler und deutlicher sein. Effekt haucht manchen Sounds mehr Leben und Individualität ein. Funktioniert mit Ableton.
