Devil Spring Reverb is a vintage spring reverb.
It's vintage and It's very warm. All the sounds comes from impulse responses found on the web. They've been cleaned up and are processed by an optimized convolution reverb algorithm.

- 38 spring reverbs impulse responses selected and cleaned.
- 3 levels of complexity (low and mid limit the audio bandwidth).
- Compatible 44100Hz, 48000Hz, 88200Hz, 96000Hz, 176400Hz and 192000Hz. Plugins tested under Logic and Reaper.
- An optimized convolution engine that can go up to 4 seconds.
- A tone to adjust the brightness of the reverb.
- A tunable impulse response size (which also plays on the complexity) and a dry / wet mix to be able to go to extreme settings.

Sorry I don't rate stuff, I just comment. Freeware is appreciated but if it's VST3, doesn't work well and crashes one music app repeatedly, then well... I'm still a snob. If only that orange button above on this page were changed from "Donate to LOSTIN70s" to "PAY ME A BEER" I would have retorted, "Stop begging!"

Not really a super great sounding spring verb imho. And it has definitely crashed at least once so I couldn't trust it in a live situation (maybe not even used non destructively in a daw session). I'm finding using convolution+spring impulses are sounding better.

I like the sound of it, but if I use more than one at a time, it freezes Reaper.

I really love this one. At first I thought it was a very useful and natural one trick pony and then I discovered the abundance of presets which take it over the top.

I don't know the previous versions, but as a free plugin, this one works very well. It sounds digital of course, but you recognize the spring reverb effect. On mixing if you spend some time to find the good sound, it could be credible. It's good if you want add more reverb on a track using already real spring amp's reverb for example. Spring reverb, we know it's difficult to emulate, and free spring reverb plugins are rare and ugly. For now, and for my use, it's my fav.
LOL< this plugin is a joke: I downloaded latest v1.0.3 from their webpage and it does not do anything at all, tested in FL Studio 20... useless garbage, avoid!

Very nice spring reverb, sounds like a 70s analogue one. Works fine for me on Ableton. Merci beaucoup, Perdu en 70s.
Hey there. I am using the win32 plugin on an old Cubase SX. Most of the tones are difficult to use, as for instance vintage 1 or 2, has hisses and noises, or some distorsion on other ones. So bad because, there are very few spring emulations, and the interface is nice. Don't want to rate it, because this a free software.

The feed somehow comes on the left channel. Just adjust it from the DAW but I must say this is a beautiful plugin. Sounds very organic and a simple guitar pedal outlook makes it very easy to control. Works great on acoustic guitars.
Why is it so big compared to the previous version?

It only comes out of left channel but that can be set in DAW, also it tend to overload volume protection (in reaper) when using full length of spring. The sound is ok by personally I much more prefer the previous version, it works better and is much more realistic than most springs out there. Not to say that this doesn't have a potential to be even better if fixed up a bit.

Potentially good but i hear it coming out of only the left speaker. But other than that its 5 stars.

Excellent, widely improved reissue of the old Devil's tube Spring reverb. Much more flexible and better sounding than before. I always liked original version, but unfortunately it did nor seem to work properly or not at all in combination with Win7 64-bit or later. At least not on my systems, which I always regretted. This new plugin sounds and works great, is very well adjustable, and the huge number of implemented, different spring reverb IR's are a big advantage and cover a wide range of very differently voiced spring reverbs.
