Sadly mono only, eventhough the input can handle L+R. The Bogner Extasy sounds really heavy, internal IRs are hit and miss.

Update. After giving this many months of testing, I've updated my review. Clean to Mid gain tones are good, and shine really well with your own IR's. However using the stock IR's the tone is muddy lacking clarity and punch. Be aware the free version ( I have 3.9) may differ to the purchase version 4.6. Definitely worth checking out with some quality IR's if you're on a budget. There are better guitar amp sims out there for individual usage, as opposed to a suite like this one where things really average out.

Be aware, in the plugin's site says it's free for 30 days (newer version)

Don't work in REAPER. Crashes every time

This is bullshit. It works perfectly with Reaper. I use it all the time and it's great. Absolutely zero problems. Get your shit together before you post some BS about this not working in Reaper.

@Ultimate Ultimatum. I also have the same problem as Danila. Your aggressive response was unnecessary.

Martin Jun 22 2021

Could it be that the crashes are happening in different Reaper versions?

One of best sounding free GuitarTones I've ever heard. Variety of setting the sound, mic positions, amps, effects etc. Good presets.

Sounds okay, but not really great. The user interface is very good. The amps all have a common, generic tone to my ears, probably just waveshapers with EQ, nothing too fancy going on there. I have the feeling that the various reverbs are just impulse responses or is there anything algorithmic going on? I like some of the spring reverb and tape echo sounds though. The developer changed the newer versions to payware. I hate it when developers turn freeware into a commercial product.

I guess people writing freeware hates when nobody donates anything when kindly asked to support development and at some point they turn it into payware so that they can pay the roof and food to continue working on it...

Great Vst very simple, very easy to use setup was a bit confusing but once it was loaded properly on my computer its a great vst to use when using any virtual instrument not only guitars and it has so many good features

Downloaded the zip file, inside the zip file is an EXE set up file. Is there a zip file available that contains the files themselves, and no EXE setup file? not willing to try an EXE setup file.

Obviously a modified, optimized version of the JamVox, due to almost identical amps and effects. Sounds very good for a free amp sim, maybe not totally top notch but very useable and flexible. One advantage are a lot of otherwise rare to find effect sims, like the Centaur, the Maestro Bi-Phaser or amp sims like the AC-15 or the Diezel. Recommended and a lot of fun!

I thought Amplitube Fender was good. This trumps it. This has some of the best sounds I've heard. Still use separate I.R.'s. with it for the ultimate set up. Doesn't sound fizzy like other commercial releases. Pretty amazing software for free.

An update from my previous comment. The final feature I needed to make this perfect was automated wah... and now we have it. They listened and responded to their users... and it's still free!

Truly amazing. Definitely the best free amp sims by far. I'm loving the choice of the Diezel Herbert, Mesa Boogie and Guitar/Bass Cabinets. Well made and very simple to use with tons of FX, amps, and cabs. Awesome

For me this is the best FREE amplifier library by the moment. As plus I downloaded from the official site the Tone Lib Jam that probably is the best free substitute of guitar pro to learn about tablatures.

In my opinion.. perhaps the best amp sim suite i ever play!!! The preamp section, Soldano at first place.. amazing, great effects like mod, rev and delay.. tube screamer to krank amps but at the same time the sun remains clean. Not muddy. Well done my friends.. better than Amplitube and Guitar rig surely!!!

It's really good... not just considering it's free - it actually compares well with Amplitube, plus it's much less resource-hungry. Like someone mentioned before, there doesn't seem to be any automation control for things like wah at this time

Very nice plugin... Works smoothly on Ubuntu as well, sadly it seems impossible to automate the controls, otherwise it would be perfect! Hope automation will be supported with future updates.

Works well. Nice for a free vst. I use it on my electric violin along with some IR's and it sounds great. I plan to use it on a bass and a guitar next time I record.
