To anyone who is having the issue with this VST saying its unable to find an instrument, you have to extract the contents of the zip folder to ( C:Program Files (x86)VstPlugins ). it wont work if you're just placing the .dll file to whatever other vst folders your daw is scanning.

That's because you forgot the instruments. You need to drag the instruments folder too

I really like this plug.. it's not the most authentic 808 emulator sonically but it has a great vibe of its own

I only have 6/7 settings to choose from, not all those that appear in the video.

Very good. I use it often. The only problem is it really does need to have the samples fixed to remove the click. Nobody wants to have that click, so there's no point in the samples retaining it, and the scale of the attack knob is so severe that even one notch results in an undesirable level of fade-in for most, making it an undesirable declicking tool. The maximum attack length clocks in at around six seconds, which is incredibly unnecessary for 808 bass in almost all use cases. If the range of the attack was shortened incredibly, it might just stand a chance at being a good declicker, but it would really just be better to fix the samples. As a workaround for you plugin users out there, I suggest sculpting a sound to your liking, taking a sample of the output, and then loading it into a different melodic sampler. If that sampler doesn't have declicking, add a microscopic fade in in a program like Audacity beforehand.

Run the file from downloads, install it into your plugins folder, make sure your daw knows where that is, then refresh :)

Sorry, but I´ve done that and it still doesnt work. I moved both .dll and .mse to my plugins folder, is that correct?

Make sure the .mse file is in its own folder (named after the instrument name) along the .dll file.

Had the same problem, sorted it though, With Reaper, I had to go to the preferences menu, navigated to plug-ins, VST and then added a new VST plug-in path from there. Found it after that.

Perfect for hip hop and dubstep. It works great in LMMS (Vestige) Linux 64 bit. Few presets available but enough to get you started making your own.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX. Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Linux”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU system, developed by the GNU Project. There really is a Linux, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Linux is the kernel: the program in the system that allocates the machine’s resources to the other programs that you run. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Linux is normally used in combination with the GNU operating system: the whole system is basically GNU with Linux added, or GNU/Linux. All the so-called “Linux” distributions are really distributions of GNU/Linux.

Great plugin for 808 starters. Not sure why the guy above mentioned terminology of what "Linux" is here, nothing to do with the plugin itself. Great plugin.

You need to create a folder by the name "808 BM III.Instruments" (so that plugin can detect it) and put "808 BM III.Instruments.mse" file into it. Also you have to put this folder in the same directory as you've placed the "808BMII.vst"

Hi, I just installed your plugin in FL12. It sounds great, but like said here before there is a woosh/click at the beginning of the waveform. I adjusted the attack but even the slightest adjustment of the attack removes all the punch and I really like the punch at 0 attack. I'm using the "24- Avril_Long". Any tips or can you fix this?

omg sameeee im just got it and I hate that click I tried to mask it with a kick but it's still so bad
Toensi Jul 10 2019

I do not Think you want the click at the beginning. If you have fast attack on the 808, you Will want to bypass it to the kick. Otherwise the frequenties Will clush each other.

Yes most if not all 808's I've encountered have some noise at the front just adj the attack

Really nice addition to the sound palette. Try layering with a sub-kick in tune in a patcher/bass combo. Thick as a Brick. Shalom, birdsongz
