AntiAlias
by ExperimentalScene
2.6 / 5     (9 votes)
AntiAlias filters out harmonics that occur above the nyquist frequency by oversampling the input signal and then filtering.

If you are using any instruments or effects that generate aliased digital audio (many of them), AntiAlias can improve the sound quality. You will generally notice a difference by hearing less annoying high frequency harmonics.
  • Stereo Input and Output.
  • 64 Bit Floating Point Audio Engine.
  • Minimum Phase Distortion FIR Filter.

If you don't know what's going on here, read this: This plugin is a part of DarkWave Studio Host. Find it in the host section of this site.

This absolutely works. Put it at the start of your chain. It will open up the high end of your analog emulations that don't already incorporate oversampling, and make them sound less flat. I can imagine if you wanted to track with plugins, like preamps, tape, or console strips, running this this first would give you a much more authentic sound. I wish there was a little more to the features but for a free plugin I am not going to complain. Quickest and easiest way to breath some life into analog plugins. Running multiple instances will increase CPU load so best to use it strategically or render/freeze tracks as you go.

A simple src with LPF in series xD You can't load audio between the src and the LPF. So, what's the point of this piece of SW?

This plugin improved the high end of my 24/44.1 recordings by audibly enhanced definition, and slightly improved the overall transient response and transparency of the whole frequency range. People who do not hear this are either using low-grade equipment or are hard on hearing.

Don't waste your time, this is bullshit. Does literally nothing other than consume your CPU.

Does literally nothing to remove aliasing that already exists. A waste of CPU and a joke of a plugin.
