I have the full version, and have used the Computer Music edition, and also used "Free Alpha" which was based on v2 I think, came with MusicTech Magazine. For that earliest one had to patch into the mod-matrix so it responded to MIDI velocity by main amplitude. This synth is awesome for any style of music. The free Alpha listed here is a bit less capable, has two less LFO's. Surprised even this free edition has spread! Some people might think it's a shame Linplug no longer operate but people could change their tastes.

One of the many, many VST synths that have issues triggering correctly with my keyboard/sustain pedal. I wish these guys would release CM505 in 64 bit. That was the best drum synth I ever used.
it tells me- cannot create the follwing file C:usersUserNameOneDrive????? ??????AlphaManuel330.$$A
People, why it doesn't have .dll anymore? Please help. :x

Trying in MPC Beats and work fine! thanks a lot
Trying the VST and AU with latest version of Garageband, but although it shows on the disc under plug-ins, it's not displayed in the plug-in menu...any idea?
Can this be used for the use of gaining profits if credit is given?
im pretty sure that yes, you dont even need to credit them i guess.. i mean its a vst plugin

It's ok. There are other better synths of this type out there

Hello, i am using macbook pro 2019, Logic proX. however i am, unable to find the VST in logic i have down everything correctly. Can someone help
Open logic and open up preferences then scroll down to plugin manager open it up and see if it's down in the left corner it will be one of the first or on the right with all your plugins if so highlight it and do a rescan.
Yo lo metto nella cartella di fl studio vst ma quando vado su fl non lo trovo
Pure io sei riuscito a risolvere?
anche io ho questo problema
Thanks bro it works.

My favorite free VST.
Lovely
I'm on fl studio, and I successfully installed the plugin, but the menu is so small, I cant even read the text. Anyone have some solutions?
Yea if your using I high resolution on your pc change it to 720p its perfect also your fl studio will respond much faster at a lower frame
Pretty good for a free VST! Thanks!
Cannot get presets to load. What am I missing ?
same here
Probably because something went wrong in the installation process. That happened to me and I just opened up plugin manager, ran a diagnostics test, opened my component files folder in Finder and then moved it there and all was fixed.
Works great with Logic Pro X!!
Not Logic Pro Compatible...

Yeah, i'm having the same issue as KnowTM. Anyone know what to do?
I run it in LMMS in Linux. I installed x32 version in Windows, moved a directory with installed plugin to Linux and opened a dll-file.
Trying to download with MacBook pro. I downloaded it with logic pro x (yes logic was closed when I downloaded this) and everything went where it should and I downloaded the proper link (Mac AU) and for some reason it just won't show up in plug-in manager or anywhere else. Please help

So cooooool
Does it come with presets?
Yes, there are many good presets to choose from but it doesn't play presets made in commercial Alpha.
Super dope plugin.
Hi .. I am on Logic Pro. Should I download the Mac OSX VST or the Mac AU? Thank you!
I think you want the AU for Logic Pro.
Thanks~ I just pulled up an older song and saw that it had a free alpha sound from a long time ago - nice to be able to go back and load this on my new laptop to keep the flow of the song going!

Great sound quality! Use this for pad sounds.

Very light on the CPU and sounds very good!
(5 / 5)
An oldie but goldie!
(5 / 5)
It is easy on the CPU and it sounds pretty good. Definitely a keeper.

This synth produces the BEST BEST BEST Sub Bass. You'll never wish to use another synth for subs once you hear what I mean. It comes in super loud without even compressing. More synths should sound like this, but sadly, don't. I used 10 different synths with all kinds of stupid shit to get a loud Sub -- this synth you just type in the note you want to play!
(5 / 5)
A timeless classic. Just like Synth1.
(5 / 5)
Très bien !!!
How come after I download it on my mac it doesn't pop up in my logic pro x
You have to restart Logic every time you have a new plugin you want to use.

I'd say this synth is very good for what it is. It is very versatile, and very crisp much like an analog synth would. I immediately tried to change parameters and found them easy to manipulate and locate. If you know how synths work/how to use one, and are looking for another synth to add to your library, get this one. It's very simple, easy to use, and has a lot of presets to choose from/see its range and ability.

Really cool Soft-Synth.

I am the father of a talented Musician, who also works at GC. He sees and demos all the latest gear. I am Low Tech/HiFi, if you get my drift. I am super picky about track noise, and little crackles and such. That is why tape is still very popular. We geezers don't have to mess with CPU usage and that dreaded maxout crack noise. I am slowly learning how to use VST's through my little 49 MIDI. To the point now. This has well thought out presets, that allow, or I should say DON'T allow dum dums like me to wander too far into trouble. I do astronomy podcasting, and this provides me with enough sounds to add background. On the music side, if you like soft Ambient layers, this is it. If you want pounding sharp bass tones, yep. Even add some sprinkles of trailoffs, of enveloping, yep. One of my favs. Reaper and this, and I'm happy. I run it to an external multi track, and it is very clean. I'm impressed. M.

I'm really amazed with this synth. It sounds so good and it's powerful enough to orchestrate full tracks relying exclusively on it. It's cpu load is very low, so you can use multiple instances with no problems. It's a little treasure and a great source of inspiration to me. Congrats to LinPlug.
