I wish it had a 10" splash, but other than that this is a fabulous plug in. The cymbals are explosive but still sit well in the mix. I use this plug in exclusively (with the exception of the splash in MT Power Kit). Here's a sample of how they sit in a mix. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NWS9MxFh6ik&list=PLKu-6uVS_4leelJ-uzOJgS9GrB9SfavKL&index=1&t=35s
Can anyone help me on how to install and open this sample pack in a logic project? I've downloaded the files but there doesn't seem to be an 'installer' option?

This is so cool. I'm gonna use this!

The crash cymbals on this plugin tend to be better than those on Toontrack's 'EzDrummer', and infinitely better than the ones on Naughty Seal's 'Perfect Drums'. However, it appears that the audio for the 17" and 18" crashes are mixed up, in that the 18" cymbal is producing the sound of a 17", and vice versa. The audio of the two Chinese are assigned to the wrong cymbals too. If not for these errors, I'd have given it five stars instead of four.

Sounds great, but two questions: 1) I have to tune my pads an octave above the note that the plugin says a cymbal is on in order to get it to play, and 2) I can't get F2, the Ride Top, to play at all -- not just with my pads, but even when I click on it with my mouse. Any advice?

I have been using Cymbalistic for a few times and I'm very happy with the
sounds, though I had problems in activating the three additional stereo-
outs! Was my fault, because I didn't remember how I did it the last times! In Cubase 6.55 it's very simple: Rightside the "edit" button in the F11-page "VST instrumens" is a small icon, click it and activate "all tracks"! Could be the same solution for other Cubase-Versions, maybe for other DAWs too! Anyway, a great Plugin, thanks Alan

Many thanks for the whole Collection. Great Sounds! Useful VST's
I'm having issues with the multi-output, I see all outputs and know how to route them, but everything is sent via 1+2. Furthermore my plugin windows never looks like the screenshot: The bottom bar with the channel info isn't there. Is the multichannel version just for Windows? I'm on OSX 10.11 and tried both formats, VST and AU.
Doesn't work on macOS Catalina
Solved: click Cancel (not Move to Trash), click on the Apple Menu, System Preferences, Security & Privacy, Allow Anyway
Did not open properly nor would file extract in Windows 10.
in Cakewalk by Bandlab it is a VSTi... open new track as "insert instrument"... will be listed like SI drums...

***** 5/5 with Reaper. Thanks.
I downloaded, installed the Dll in the cubase sx plugin folder and it does not appear.
I use this on my albums, sounds great. 5/5 from me. even with the lack of velocity samples. https://streamofconciousness.bandcamp.com
In Cubase I cannot find any way to route the outputs. There is nothing there. Even though I have activated all outputs on VST section.
How do you use this in Reaper, i dont have to option for multiple outputs. Everything outputs on channels 1 and 2. The vst does not list the outputs at the bottom either.

Just perfect, when you want to have access to cymbals that sounds real.
I use it next to esx24 drum kits and it is very handy as a cymbal rack, on a separate audio and midi channel. Thanks a lot for creating this!

It takes some work to make all of the outputs audible, depending on your DAW, but the high-quality sound is quite worth it. Even if this plugin only had sounds from the first output, I'd still want this plugin. Thank you, Alan, for helping those on a budget get by. :D . P.S. - for Ableton users, this link shows how to access all the outputs: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/209773065-Accessing-additional-audio-outputs-of-a-multi-out-VST-AU-plug-in
Does anyone know if Garageband 10 has the ability to activate multiple stereo outputs on midi instrument tracks in order to access all of the samples on the plug-in? If so, I was curious how?
This doesn't work in logic... placed both AU and VST file in correct folders restarted logic, but the instrument is nowhere to be found.
In REAPER I can't find a way to get any further than the hihat.
had the same problem and took me a while and a few false workaround attempts to figure it: it's got four stereo audio outputs built-in to the player, which you need to assign as such in your DAW (i.e, in Reaper, 1=1-2, 2=3-4 etc: route each of 'hardware outputs' 1&2 on relevant track to 'multichannel source'> '8 channels'> '1-8')
In response you can right click on the track area and choose. Insert virtual instrument on this track.
Reaper will then ask you if you want to build a multi audio routing for this instrument click yes. Alternatively add Cymbalistic to a track from the add FX button. When Cymbalist tic had been added, you will probably just hear the hi hat closed. Right click on the plugin name, in the effects list and choose build audio routing for this plugin. Then you should hear all the sounds, which you can play from your keyboard.
Problems Multi channel Output. Thanks for your explanations, sadly both did not work out. While Andy's advise should be foolproof with me it does not work. I tried to route on the relevant tracks either from Stereo Source or Multichannel, but no success. Please help, i like the sounds so much, but without mulitchannel i will not use it. Thanks a lot.

Just curious as to whether they can be mapped to be used with virtual drums such as SSD. Am using Pro Tools 11 so I would use a Blue Cat wrapper - should be interesting to see how that could work. Fabulous realism!!
For those that still haven't figured it out in Logic Pro X, when you're plugging-in Cymbalistic, you must choose: "Multi-Output (8xStereo)" not "Stereo", as it does have multi outputs. Should be able to hear everything after choosing this.

This thing really would be perfect, but the "output" issue just makes no sense. No other VST instrument works that way, I spent an hour on this thing on Acid Pro and just can't figure it out.
Hello, thanks so much for this nice present. I'm using logic pro and I don't know how to set it up in order to hear not only the instrument from out 1 ? Any body can help ?
Am trying to use this in Garageband and am having similar problems with only being able to hear the first cymbal set. Do you have a solution?
This plugin uses 4 stereo outputs, in some DAWs you'll need to activate outputs 2,3 and 4.
How to activate other 3 outputs in Reason? I have activated 4 output channels in preference/audio but I can still hear only the first set of cymbals. many thanks V
The extra outputs are on the back of the vst rack device. click the button on the front bottom left then flip the rack around to see the extra inputs and outputs. If they are available for use they will be highlighted with green LED.
What button front bottom left??? I don't see one, or find one.

Hey! Thank you for this! I like creating music but it is really expensive and I'm really zero on cash. You are one of the reasons why we can express ourselves through music even though we don't have cash. Kudos to you, Alan! :)

It's fantastic, good job.
I have put the component file into the component folder, but I can't seem to find the plug-in in logic pro x. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance
Needs Mac OS 10.6 or higher, maybe it's this ?
My OS is 10.10.5. Any other suggestions?

I am amazed by how realistic the sounds are. What I don't like are the Cymbals itself, for my taste, they haven't got enough attack. And this is just raw cymbal sound. All the eq-ing is still to be done. I guess this vsti is perfect for something like Jazz, I wouldn't recommend it for Rock or metal though.. but as for the Realism: NICE JOB!!!

THANKS AND PLEASE DON'T STOP RAISING THE BAR :) ALWAYS!

I am impressed. Works perfecting in Logic X.
Very nice but I wish I could control the outputs.
Fantastic plugin, congratulations. Fits exactly my music-making needs.
Now Imagine a full drum set like this with multiple outputs...

Nice, sounds good and should be useful.

Thanks!!! :D

Wonderful, thanks for this good sounding freebie! I was looking already for something like that. Proposal: a tune knob for each cymbal to obtain different pitches would be a nice addition!

Nice, good sound!
Having issues playing anything but the first bank in ableton live v9 64bit. tried the data folder from 32bit version but same thing.
