Emissary is a digital emulation of a custom dual channel guitar tube amplifier.
It has been developed to accurately model its real hardware counterpart, built for Ryan Huthnance (The Seer / Gaped / Chrome Bison / Emissary Studios) by Ignite Amps, in 2014.
The Emissary is a no compromise custom amp built for the kill. Featuring a very versatile clean channel that ranges from pristine cleans to slightly overdriven tones and a mean lead channel designed for serious bone-crushing distortions, it offers a very wide tonal palette for the modern metal musician.
Every single component on the signal path of the real analog circuit has been taken into account and modeled in the best possible way to match the original sound, keeping an eye on CPU performance and real-time playability at the same time.
The plug-in GUI has been 3D modeled and rendered by Voger Design, in order to resemble the real amplifier as much as possible.
The Emissary is meant to be used as a virtual guitar amplifier for live playing and jamming, tracking or mixing inside hosts capable of VST or AU Plug-Ins support.

Ignite Amps has better plugins than this one. I red about it, i thought it was the supreme plugin. Not at all. Similary gained tones as the Anvyl, but much more noise. More CPU consumed. More threshold at the noise gate, less sustain, worst sound. I don`t mean is a bad amp sim. It`s good, but not the best. Disappointing for me. Anvyl for ever.

Plug in is fantastic sounding.
This vst isnt working. I downloaded the 64bit version (my computer is 64bit i'm running reaper) so i'm lost. I re-scanned it, cleared the cache and still nothing
I think it's just the vst file itself w/out the sound files... :(
Hello, how did you isntall it ?

One of the best freeware amp sims!

Awesome Plugin. Just outstanding compared to other freeware vst amp sims. Mainly used for Metal, but also awesome for cleans.

There's more inside this than you would think. Read the manual carefully. Notice you click an arrow to see more controls on the "back" side. Once you discover variety of sound you can get out of this, you'll want to donate.

Great Tone!!! I use this for my metalcore tones with an overdive vst on the front to tighten the mids.

Sounds fantastic

This thing is absolutely amazing! It looks good (-yes: looks do matter in a psychological way. if a plugin doesn't look good, I don't download it), it sounds absolutely killer, it's easy to use. It's perfect for lead guitar stuff. Did you know there's a phyical version of this?

Very good, I'm using it for playing old school metal, but it takes great even grindcore.
.... from what I heard on the vid Brian May do not use this....!! Sounds like me when I first plugged in a cheap Jedson gtr in 1973...hmmm! Try the pink Crunch pedal - just add some warmth in the low mids and with any humbucking pickup, you'll sound like Angus or any other 80s gtr hero - that's the one for me!

This is their best yet. Be sure to check the "back" controls too, for more flexibility.
