DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! With a rather simple and dated UI, it may be easy to brush this off. However, I was very happily surprised! The presets are great, but they're just a taster for what you can make yourself. Great sounds that can find their way into many electronic projects.

Dang it's good !

Why I never heard of this synth before. The video demo sounds so good for a free one! Gotta download it.

Beauty is in the ear of the beholder - the sound is absolute joy!

A beaut of a freebie. Nice rich modern sound. Easy to create your own presets with draw-able waves, with a nice stack of great presets to orient you to the possibilities. Easy on the eyes GUI. An instant fave that only continues to shine. I liked this so much I grabbed this dev's Extractor which lets you load your own waves and most recently the Addvector, which also has really cool elements. Though all are great and interesting, I really love this one. This is appreciated, devs - sending good wavs your way...

SWEET! Great sound on this one. The user-friendly interface makes it easy to quickly carve out your own sounds. Loads of cool presets to get you started. So many of the pricey big-name synths claim "Acid" presets that are SO weak, NOTHING like that classic 303 sound, but here you get truly Acidic sound straight outta the box, and they don't even label them "Acid"! You can guess why some of those paid DAWs (like FL) BLOCK the free stuff, with fab and super dynamic VST's like this one available free of charge (if you PAID ONCE, surely you will PAY AGAIN?). Hats off to the devs for freeing the music from the clutches of the trust-fund babies!

Could someone explain how to change the oscillator waveforms? Nothing I do with the mouse works.
Click on spectrum in the middle, then in spectrum section at top-right below help will be send button, click below send button you will see list where you want to change shape click on desired osc and then click on any of the bars in wave editor, change will reflect

Excellent for techno, industrial, trance and EDM. There are great presets available, the GUI is very well designed. However, there are so many settings available that you have to play with it for a while if you intend to make your own samples. Works great in LMMS (Linux 64)

FYI, bchrisb is the man behind Minisoftmusik. He created Addvector, Uniretro, Invector, Modcat and a couple of others, which are great.

Brilliant! This synth has everything I could ask for to make industrial music. The lead patches are a little thin, but that's an easy fix. I just wish it came with a manual.

Wow. This is almost able to replace Absynth. ;-) In my DAW (Linux with Reaper) some of the graphical Elements are missng.
Sounds very industrial.

Abstractor is a masterpiece of VSTi design. It sounds exactly as it is described, which is a rare feat. I am looking forward to other VSTis from bchrisb.

Il s'agt d'un synthé assez complet et donnant des belles sonorités. Ne serait-il pas une version perfectionnée d'un certain "Addvector" ?

Sounds interesting. Keep up with good work, and please make more presets.
Fantastic sound, great interface. One problem, it's not recognizing program changes from my Impulse 61.
